MacDefenderKiller is a trojan removal program, which is used to remove a few strains of the "MacDefender" trojan horse that is infecting Macintosh computers as of 2011. Our software seeks out the MacDefender app, related MacDefender downloads, the MacDefender login item, MacDefender running process and kills them. We don't require a system password to use and can be run from a flash drive if needed. This also works with a few of the other strains of the MacDefender virus. We also patch the "Open Safe Files" option in Safari so the virus cannot be run after downloading in Safari. This option can be set back via Safari's preference menu.
